Mission Statement of the Maine Vegetable and Small Fruit Growers Association

  • To encourage and improve vegetable and small fruit growing and marketing to the end that the individual grower may secure a better return for his investment, management and labor.

  • To disseminate among its members useful and practical information of the growing, marketing and storing of vegetables and fruits.

  • To hold meetings and provide exhibits.

  • To encourage the consumption of quality Maine-grown products.

  • To encourage unity and cooperation among all agricultural groups.

  • To cooperate with educational agencies in furthering research affecting vegetable and small fruit production and marketing and in disseminating the knowledge gained from such research.

  • To affiliate with National Associations having comparable objectives when such opportunities present themselves and it is deemed advisable to do so.

  • To promote and advance by all legitimate means the welfare of the vegetable and small fruit industry and agriculture in general.
