Mission Statement of the Maine Vegetable and Small Fruit Growers Association

To encourage and improve vegetable and small fruit growing and marketing to the end that the individual grower may secure a better return for his investment, management and labor.

To disseminate among its members useful and practical information of the growing, marketing and storing of vegetables and fruits.

To hold meetings and provide exhibits.

To encourage the consumption of quality Maine-grown products.

To encourage unity and cooperation among all agricultural groups.

To cooperate with educational agencies in furthering research affecting vegetable and small fruit production and marketing and in disseminating the knowledge gained from such research.

To affiliate with National Associations having comparable objectives when such opportunities present themselves and it is deemed advisable to do so.

To promote and advance by all legitimate means the welfare of the vegetable and small fruit industry and agriculture in general.
